The Ortiz Mountain Gallery is located in the foothills of the Ortiz Mountain Range overlooking the Galisteo Valley where looking northward the city of Santa Fe is clearly visible. From the rooftop of our small adobe home we have a 360 degree view of the Sangre de Christo’s, the Jemez and Pecos mountain ranges. Our home and gallery are situated on 20 acres and 7100 feet above sea level.

We moved to this idyllic spot a little over a year ago from the seacoast of Maine and haven’t looked back. The sunshine and quiet make us thankful everyday.

The gallery was formerly a horse barn with 3 attached stables. Over the past year we have renovated it into what is now a 1500 square foot gallery and workshop space. The stalls have beautiful flagstone floors that look out on the flagstone portal and the Ortiz Mountain range. Quiet and serene with many varieties of birds, breath-taking vistas, there is much creative inspiration at your fingertips.

There are many places to stay: HeartSeed B& B ( Hacienda Dona Andrea de Santa Fe (, High Feather Ranch ( and many more. Up the road from us is the Santa Fe Botanical Gardens. The traditional village of Los Cerrillos is where the movie “Young Guns” was filmed and is host to several galleries, the Cerrillos Hills Historic Park and, if you like horseback riding, there is the Broken Saddle Riding Company.

Much to see and do or be, allow us to be your host either for an artist workshop or to visit our gallery with its variety of art from the artists of New Mexico.
